Sketching Peebles

One has to wonder at the business acumen of BT. Not only do they farm out their customer relations department to some call centre in India where English is so heavily accented that one almost requires an interpreter, but like the Scottish police service, they failed to log our order last Tuesday for a new modem.

We only discovered this after waiting a week with no delivery and His Lordship making another life sapping call to India when he discovered the omission.

I fear for HL's mental health having been deprived not only of his beloved car, but now the household Internet access.

To restore some meaning to his life we went to Peebles this morning to walk by the river and sit in the sun. We also rated their cranberry and walnut scones 10/10 and I bought a rather nice pair of shoes.
I rate that success makes up for the no modem angst- I'm not sure he does.
