Clock change

A splendidly lazy Sunday! We spent most of the day just hanging around the house reading and then late afternoon we collected the miniMinx from a (slightly premature) Hallowe'en themed birthday party before heading up to the cottage and collecting Dan and Abi.

Of course, the clocks changed, this morning, so everything felt slightly unsettled. When Dan and I went out for wood at seven o'clock, it seemed like late evening and I found myself worrying that the kids hadn't eaten yet.

And whether it's related to the clock change or not (probably not), the weather is suddenly calling for an open fire to compliment the candlelight, which is suddenly more appropriate. By the time the wine was in the decanter, the downstairs was looking wonderful.

After we'd eaten we played some cards although we couldn't remember Milly's scoring regime for 'Oh hell!' so there was some additional entertainment while we tried to devise a meaningful scoring system.
