It's 2012, the Games are here, and excitement is reaching fever pitch here (honest). In today's Olympic Challenge of who-can-keep-the-boiled-sweet-in-their-mouth-the-longest-on-the-way-home-from-school there were no surprises for the gathered crowds I'm afraid:

Bronze: Hollowspy - a time of about 15 seconds, didn't even make it to the bottom of the school hill (a natural cruncher: disqualified)

Silver: Jnr Jnr - a bold effort of all the way up to just past the Hassop Bookshop, a good 4 miles

Gold: Jnr Snr - who managed to suck it slowly enough to keep it to a sliver by the time we got home!


All that training with a tin of travel sweets on the drive to and from Wembley last month with the eldest had really paid off: proud of the girl.
