Tuesday 3 July 2012: Corpach Lock, Caledonian Canal, Scotland
What weather, it has hardly stopped raining since our US visitors arrived early on Sunday.
We are now in Fort William, having travelled beside Loch Lomond and through Glencoe. Several photo stops in between showers, and a history lesson at the National Trust Centre in Glencoe. We also managed to find the massacre memorial in the village, a beautiful, tall celtic cross.
This evening a walk to the canal basin on Loch Linnhe, watching several yachts coming in and out of the first sea lock. We then walked along to Neptune's Staircase, a rise of 8 locks. Ben Nevis was momentarily clear, with some snow still on the north face.
