Ship Ahoy!

One of the three masts on the Glenlee Tall Ship. Built on the Clyde in 1896 as a cargo ship, it is now berthed beside the Riverside Museum, Glasgow, Scotland's Museum of Transport and Travel.

We had a private visit when the early restoration was taking place, so it was fascinating to see the transformation today. Well worth a visit, you can even join in scrubbing the deck.

Currently there is no charge to visit the Tall Ship, and admission to the Riverside Museum is always free. In fact, it has been awarded European Museum of the Year 2013.
