Preparing to race

One Several of the nice things about being on holiday include figuring out how to use new features on the camera and figuring out new techniques in Elements. Like 'stitch assist' and 'panoramas'. Here, by virtue of these features, you can see the tactical manouevring amongst the big boy yachts lining up to participate in one of the races in the Skeld Regatta out in Skelda Voe. Earlier on we'd viewed similar manoeuvres amongst the dinghies further up the voe.

On a generally grey day, nothing much has happened here. We went to to the Bonhoga Gallery in the Weisdale Mill, and came way somewhat lighter in the pocket because of the outstanding installation by Susan Leask presenting the patterns of keeping in touch of the Shetland diaspora and its 'home' community (we bought the exhibition catalogue...) and other lovely crafts especially photographs, and somewhat larger in girth because of the outstanding scones (cheese and fruit) in the cafe.

Other than that we just explored some other parts of the Mainland that we hadn't yet seen in the car.

Definitely worth the embiggification effort.
