Scraps

A day where the sky grew darker and darker as the day progressed until the rain fell, light and steady. Fires were lit, roads became quiet and curtains were drawn early on this cold winters night.

There was no blip in our household and a mad rush to get tea on the table, a day which seemed to just simply disappear to where I'm not sure so I'm sorry to say you get an image of my vegetable scraps. There is the end of a Kumara, sometimes called a sweet potato, some parsnip, potato and carrot peelings. The vegetables, not the scraps, were cut into chunks and roasted with a sprinkling of Daughter A's magic Herb and Garlic salt - delicious!! Put together with Roast Chicken with peas on the side, made for a tasty meal with a glass of white wine, just right for a rainy old night.

Something a little more interesting is a backblip for our first day at Gore Bay, I'll try to get the rest of them up by the end of the week.

Have a great Tuesday all :)
