Cultural Competition

What a wonderful way to finish the term.

This afternoon we held our annual cultural competition where each of the four school houses performs a song of their choice along with the school waiata and haka.  Once each group had performed they had a 'haka off' which I'm sure nearly brought down the roof!

Student engagement and participation was impressive and the competitive spirit was intense - if only we could have bottled that enthusiasm to pull out and sprinkle around in the times when they're not quite so motivated!

This is a small slice of the winning house - before announcements were made about places.  So you can imagine how high the thumbs were after the announcement!
