Battered

It's been a hard winter for this lady.  But she's survived it and will soon lay this season's eggs.

I had two appointments in Timaru today - one at the start of the day for work and one at the end of the day for myself.  My work one finished up half an hour earlier than I expected it to so I made a quick stop at the 'butterfly tree' on my way back to work.  

I was hoping that I might be early enough for the butterflies to still be clustered but they were on the move, flitting about the garden looking for food and soaking up the early sun.
