Sunday 12 August 2012: Ancient Art
Walking along the shore near Skipness I was fascintaed by the wonderful patterns on the large rocks . ( this rock is about 4 feet long )
LARGE might be worth a look.
The patterns ,which I do realise have been created by the natural process of weathering and erosion by the sea , look reallyinspiring and I wondereda at the beauty of these rocks carved out by nature's hand over the centuries .
Couldn't help but wonder did similar rocks inspire our ancestors who carved the ancient standing stones which are in so many parts of our land.
