Tuesday 14 August 2012: Silver Turns Gold
The Olympics brings out the best in so many people. It seems the pressure to win Gold means some people will sink to some pretty low depths to get there.
Case in point, our very own Valerie Adams who was the reigning Olympic shot put champion. She was 'beaten' by Nadzeya Ostapchuk from Belarus who has since failed drugs tests and has consequently been stripped of her gold medal thus promoting Valerie to gold.
Valerie, needless to say, is thrilled - as is the nation :)
