Transformation

This lily sends up one sturdy stalk, about six feet tall, that bears over a dozen blossoms with the most outrageous sweet perfume. I can pass by, at least ten feet away, on my way to the clothesline, and the exotic scent stops me cold. One snipped flower changes the aura of a whole room, evoking romantic far-way mysterious places.
