How can you tell the dancer from the dance?

No matter how old you are your Mum and your Dad are immutable.

But as Yeats pointed out, nobody is an instant in time.

Your Dad was your Dad when you were three. He was the guy grasping the back of your bike as you wobbled and weaved while learning to ride. He was there when you went to school. Worried over exams. And went to University.

And he's here while I am a Dad as well undergoing the journey as a Father myself.

Today we had to say goodbye and head back up north.

The girls had a great time seeing their grandparents.

And it was wonderful seeing my parents too.
