The Longest Day

Today we were on the road at 6.35 am but did not get to our destination until 8.30 pm. Only 400 km but a terrible windy road for the last half and multiple police and army checks after dark. We stopped at a small park created by a local village where there were many many ring tailed lemurs. Heaven! After leaving our lodge we passed through this beautiful plain type country. Zebu farming seemed to be the predominant activity. Soon after, the landscape changed dramatically to huge rocky outcrops and then again to mountains and rice fields.
