View from the Top

Although actually not from inside the Clubhouse & in the Member's Bar on the second floor, which does have a brilliant view of a number of holes on the course, but rather from outside & looking in the same direction, it's still pretty good, especially with the sun setting too.

I did manage to make it into Fawlty Towers today but it was an exceedingly dull day & that's all that really needs to be said on the matter.

I will wrap up my day & Blip by way of a humerous anecdote, as there is nothing else of any significance to report, other than the fact that my cold is getting better.

Here goes.. whilst discussing with some of the temp staff at work how some golfers like to dress in often hideous, matching garb, as well some interesting & strange things guests have done whilst residing with us, one girl piped up. She said that she'd been told that one woman golfer (most likely wearing some distressingly bad outfit, identical to every member of the party of golfers sitting with her) at breakfast at some previous date, for some reason unknown, whipped out a tampon (some sort of ladies device) & placed it on the table. Not thinking particularly I replied, 'maybe it's a continental thing', & then quick as a flash (no exaggeration added), I quipped, 'maybe rather it's an incontinental thing!'. What jokes!

Alas only one person laughed, but then only one person had heard my witty retort. Blast! Nevermind.
