Fanny's .....

and Graveley's.

Before I explain the strange title to today's blip, I first have to say a huge thank you to all of you for the overwhelming response to my 200th blip yesterday. The response blew me away ( almost as much as the wind did those balloons ). I've had a busy 24hrs and havn't had a chance to thank you all personaly yet, but will do my best to get around to responding to all your lovely comments tomorrow.

Today I've mainly been at home finishing off some work projects and household chores before the weekend, it's been all go apart from a brief break when my neighbour, Patrick, from over the road called in for a cuppa and a catch up. This afternoon I had to briefly pop in to Leeds and whilst there grabbed a quick late lunch ( or was it an early tea ? ) from Graveleys fish and chip shop in Leeds market. It's a popular chippy and always seems to have a long queue. I went for the diet option ( seriously, I did ) of their 300 calorie meal of fish and chips with mushy peas. As seems to be the done think, I ate my meal sat on the wooden barrier around the carpark opposite Graveleys. The whole railing was occupied by people eating various fried delights ( although form the look of some of my fellow diners, they hadn't all gone for the 'diet' option )

The local birds ( of the feathered variety ) tend to gather around waiting for scraps and chips to be thrown for them, which is where this cheeky starling fits in to today's blip, it spent most of the time I was eating, sat on the railing next to me waiting for me to feed it a chip. In the end I relented, I expect that made my meal only 295 calories.

This evening I've attended a Blipmeet at Fanny's ale house in Saltaire. Also there were fellow blippers Drmackem, Spartan, Wendles56 and yearofhappy. It's been a lovely evening with lots of chat on various sporting subjects with surprisingly little chat about blip or tekkie equiptment talk ( well, until the girls left, then us chaps got out the phones ;-) ). It was great to meet up with everyone again and I'm looking forward to the next one ( maybe a bit of a pub crawl on bikes ? keeping under the drink ride limit, of course ( at least until the last pub ( just putting the suggestion out there )))

Anyhow, it's now a couple of minutes to midnight and I have work tomorrow and am about to turn back in to a pumkin. So today's blip is .....
