Steampunkerlicious

Oh what a fabulous day today was! It is the Steampunk Weekend in Haworth so Jude and I donned our steampunkery finery and then Green56 picked us up and we zoomed off to the Dark Side. We left the heavy rain behind and drove into the Narniaesque world of sunshine and snow of the moors.

It was dry, it was sunny...it was bloomin' cold, but it was jammed packed with steampunk silliness. We went round some stalls selling weird and wonderful things and Jude treated herself to a corset. As she was being laced into it Green decided to try on a skirt and before we knew it she had bought it , then a hat, and she was a steampunk convert....yay!

The outfits were bizarre, brilliant and utterly bonkers, there was a photo every which way....but the fun part was WE were stopped by people wanting to take our pic too. It was great to meet up with Freyjad, lovelupins17, kit267, DigitalDave and Jankerman too. I just loved it all.

As we headed back up the hill the snow came down and we darted back into the market hall. There was a man with an old Victorian camera taking pics on glass and tin...it was fascinating. I decided to have my pic done and I love the results. It looks oldy worldy on tin....it is great.

What a fun day! What great friends!
