Dinner is served

After I'd walked one of the dogs from the sanctuary this afternoon I spotted several spiders who were waiting for something to fly into their webs. This was the only one that had already caught its dinner and had wrapped it up into a nice little package.

It looks like I may have to start thinking about leaving for the sanctuary earlier so I can look for a blip before I walk one of their dogs. Until now I looked for one after the walk but the light is starting to get quite poor then and it's only bound to get worse as the days draw shorter.
