Life's Little Moments

On alert

The yard was more-or-less back to normal this morning with far fewer birds.  The grackles vanished as quickly as they arrived with only 2 or 3 occasionally stopping by.  This cleared the way for the yard regulars, liked the Tufted Titmice.  The titmice have started singing their spring song and this one spent a considerable amount of time on the highest part of the cherry tree singing away.  Their songs aren't really musical, but they are distinctive and charming in their way.

Spent time this morning gathering info for our accountant to try to reduce our tax bill a little.  Then grocery shopping, then some time in the hide.  And before you know it - it's late afternoon.  Hubs has been at the man-cave all day, working feverishly on the race car.

With temperatures finally above freezing today, some of the snow is starting to melt.  Unfortunately, it looks like we may get more tonight... But things are starting to pop up in the garden and the buds on the cherry tree are starting to show so I know that spring will eventually get here.  Can't happen soon enough!

Cheers.
