Probably a shot of a Jnr

Katie

Katie is one of the coolest people I have ever met. She has an amazing sense of humour, is nicer than nice and cheers everyone up just by being there.

She's the local vicar who comes into school to do assemblies with the children every other Tuesday, and has also helped us out with some RE lessons. One of the best ones was when she brought in the various clothes used as part of her role and let the class try them on.

She used a range of chocolate in this morning's assembly; various parts of the story were accompanied by confectionery being whipped out of her bag. I asked her if I could write it up here to share:

Love Story

Mary and Joseph were engaged to be married, and as God loves the world he comes and joins in. Mary said, "Yes" and so the Wispas began. A baby is to be born, and Joseph's not the dad (everybody Snickers)!!! Joseph thinks he'll Flake out, but it is not all bad. As an angel explains, it's all God's plan, and Jesus is born.

At that moment there is a Starburst in the sky; wise men and shepherds are wondering why. The shepherds walk from the hills to the town, their feet Chrunchie-ing the past all the way down. The wise men follow the Magic Star, not the Milky Way or Mars. A baby king is born so they travel from afar.

Jesus, the baby king, is the Lion of Judah (a bit like Aslan from Narnia, but way better). God's love has made a way Twixt Earth and Heaven.

This baby born in a miniature Hero: the true reason in this Christmas for a Celebration!!.

This was not the first shot I took of her. As I tried to take the first shot, she grabbed the Heroes and Celebrations and tried to ram them both into her mouth! I was going to Blip that one, but the girls said they preferred this one.

She could easily be a stand-up, and when I visit the church with school it always makes me think that if more people in religion were like her, they would engage so much more.

One in a million.
