Daddy's Girl

Introducing Zoe :)) Isn't she adorable? I could have spent the whole afternoon just taking photos of her!

Zoe and her mum and dad (our friends Kevin & Fiona) came for lunch today along with other friends Dave & Lisa. It was our last social gathering of the festive season so I went all out and set a very Christmassy table including Christmas tablecloth, napkins, candles and crackers. Great fun :-))

Zoe had just woken up when she arrived so was a bit unsettled but she soon got in her stride announcing that the chocolate Santa we gave her was the biggest in the whole wide world. She insisted on putting it at the front door so she didn't go home without him and kept popping through just to make sure he was ok.

These pics were taken during lunch. The quality isn't great as I just grabbed the camera when I saw how caught up she was in the story her dad was telling us. I didn't have time to fiddle with settings.

She was hanging on his every word and the last shot of her was taken just as Kevin finished his story and she announced with great awe and glee, "Daddy, you can do anything!" And you can see by her expression in the middle shot that she really believes that he can. How utterly wonderful.

Later on when we were all settled in the lounge and she was playing a game on the floor, she abandoned her game, ran over and jumped on her dad's knee, put her arms around his neck and her cheek against his and said "I just wanted to give you a cuddle" before wriggling back onto the floor again and resuming her game. Daddy is definitley her hero and long may that continue :-))

Once everyone had left we had a lazy evening before deciding an Indian takeaway was the way forward for tea. Last chance before the healthy eating starts on Monday. It was yummeeeee....
