I nearly lost a shoe

While the filling for some vegetable pies was busy bubbling away on the stove, I nipped out to the woods near my house to see if I could get a decent waterfall-type shot.

It was with somewhat less than gazelle-like grace that I scrabbled and slipped down the muddy bank to get to this part of the stream. Thankfully, I didn't fall in. However, I nearly lost a shoe taking this - it was ridiculously muddy!

The pies are now in the oven, to be served with chips, peas and gravy. Tasty!
