Heavy Traffic .......

...... under the bird feeders!!

A little more detail on large ...... but a little grainy as taken through the window (again) and a heavy crop.

Although the snow is about 3" deep in the rest of the garden it is fast disappearing under the bird feeders - big fat pigeons, collared doves, blackbirds, the odd magpie, a jay and even a seagull, this morning, are the main culprits but all the smaller birds have contributed too.

This female chaffinch has been hopping about for a while "hoovering up" all the dropped seed - I wanted to show the back view, as well as the side, as you can see patterns in her feathers leading down from her head onto her back and wings.

Thank you for all the lovely "pink" comments yesterday and also for even more comments on the flying fieldfare from Friday ......... you already know how much I appreciate them :-))
