A Rainbow!

At sunrise the sky was so red I went out to take a look. The rainbow was a complete surprise. A rainbow implies rain, but it was still hot and dry. But then big, deliciously cool drops splattered on and about me. It didn’t last long, a couple of minutes perhaps.

Late afternoon, after a southerly change there was more rain, enough to almost cover the bottom of the rain gauge. I took advantage and put in vegetable plants that have been waiting for a week of high temperatures.
