WITH A LITTLE BIT OF LUCK

It is snowing again in the morning. Better walk in the woods now, Piet Hein suggests, because in the afternoon it will probably turn into rain.
A great idea, 'in de benen' dutch for let's start. The forest starts at the end of the street, turn to the right and follow the forest road uphill.
Sometimes, most of the times actually, we take a certain path, now I say let's follow today the road to the end, where the pines are probably heavily loaded with snow. Perhaps a possible picture.
The road is cleared from snow what is perfect because otherwise we could not have walked that far.
At a certain moment I hear a sentence forming in my head, why don't we see any animals here? And the follow minute we see a deer standing in de middle of the road, far away, but because of the snow very well visible.
The deer disappears between the trees and then another appears, carefully looking if there is danger and then runs also in the forest and another one appears, with a little one behind him. Carefully waiting too and then they both run when they think it is safe.
A bit further I see a fox in a large field at the left of the road, rather far away too, but the fox is clearly visible because of the snow. Eyes fixed on the ground where she will expect to find something to eat. In the picture she looks towards us.
When we walk in the snow like today, no other humans anywhere to see, then I always have to think back of that strange movie The Robber Symphony, directed by Friedrich Feher, made in 1936, and is situated in forest covered with masses of snow, accompanied by delightful music. Here is a draaiorgelversie van stukje muziek

My haiku:

The soft sound of snow
Under my feet the silence
and the song of the birds

And the proverb:

The wise make proverbs and the fools repeat them.
