Balls of brass

It used to be a sad fact of life that in big working-class cities like Glasgow and Liverpool, pawnshops thrived.
They were pretty conspicuous by their 'three brass balls' sign. In my opinion there are still too many of them around even nowadays.
On a happier note, today is the last day of February, so the end of winter. The days are getting longer and spring will soon be sprung.
