Reflections

Tried numerous times to upload this - from the iPad. Most frustrating. My computer is in the hospital getting a diagnosis for the trouble it is causing me with aperture and other stuff. Might be a week- so I'm going to play with the iPad apps. This is toonCamera and an antique china cabinet with reflections in my dining room.
An extraordinary event today. We went to the "celebration of life" for the wife of a colleague of H. We have had many boat-meets with them over the years - when we both had sailboats and then they visited us in their motorboat at the island. They are very religious. We are not. So we were braced for a very Christian service but were unprepared for the church which was more like a theater than a church. Huge movie screens for the photos and words to the hymn. Big surround sound system. Web casting. No windows. No art. Espresso stand in the lobby. One hour 40 minutes of remembrances with her children and every grandchild part of the show.
Oh my..... Think I'll stop there.

Then tonight to a lecture by the curator for the new photo exhibition at the Henry art gallery. Will report tomorrow.
