Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Spring color

Too windy (again!) to row. So a long walk through city forest including by this lovely garden . Yellow and purple is my favorite compliment combo. Played with the Snapseed app today. :-)
Parsifal on the radio from the Met today - we actually remembered, while doing some house stuff. Lovely quiet day. Going to watch Tatum's soccer game and then will be delighted to have a night at home with a movie.
Last night's lecture (well, panel) marked the opening of Out (o) Fashion Photography:Embracing Beauty, The new exhibition at the Henry Art Gallery. It was too much "artspeak" for me, but I did like the curator who put this show together from the Henry and the special collections at the UW. Both the speakers were academic African Americans and it was quite nice to see so many African Americans in the audience. The show is historical from 19th -21st C. - so to see examples of some of the greats.. And lots I don't know- including one artist from the book arts collection!! Not sure about the organization- lots of "street photography" but new combinations to think about. For anyone whose interest in book artists got tweaked, HERE is a link to Tamar R Stone's corset books. "C is for curvature"was in the show and another one similar that I couldn't find illustrated-but you get the idea- these were in a photography exhibition about different forms of beauty!!
