Home, sweet home..

This is Braehead House in Kirkcaldy. I live in one of the 35 apartments here. This is the front of the building, but some of you who have viewed some past Blips will have also seen the rear view of this property.

It was originally built in the 1930s as headquarters of the Nairn Corporation, which for many years had been the world's leading centre for linoleum production. Indeed as far back as 1877, Kirkcaldy had become the largest producer of linoleum in the world, and Sir Michael Nairn went on to found a major corporation in the USA.

It is a rather grand building, and inside retains the original snooker room built for the amusement of the directors. On occasions, I have been known to hit a few balls myself.
