Abstract Thursday (Thursday 1st April 2021)
I spotted this plant on the walk back from the bus stop on Monday, growing below a fence beside the pavement, along with some wood anemones that seem now to have disappeared. I have been experimenting with camera settings, including using very high ISO settings to get soft focus and that grainy look you used to get with high-speed film. I have further abstracted this image by playing with hue and saturation.
Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting Abstract Thursday, which this week has no theme.

Fairport Convention - If I Had A Ribbon Bow (recorded 12 August 1967, Sound Techniques, Chelsea)
A friend sent me a signed copy of Judy Dyble's autobiography, An Accidental Musician, in the post today. If I Had A Ribbon Bow was their first single, for the label Track Records, but not on their debut album because by then they were on Island. Judy Dyble sang and played autoharp on their first album but was replaced by Sandy Denny prior to the second when she was "unceremoniously dumped" both by Richard Thompson as her boyfriend and by the band. I never saw her sing with them but I did see her in the duo Trader Horne at Mothers in Erdington in February 1970.
