EARLY UP

after a night where the full moon awoke me in the middle of the night. Or perhaps it was five o'clock.
I started with clearing the second part of the garage. Glad of the result but deadly tired of course afterwards, mainly because of the never ending putting things away for later use but one wonders when that would ever be.
With Mischa I walked down the valley to buy asome bread and looking for the ducks. We crossed the bridge and walked along the shore, a couple of ducks were at our side of the stream but all the others and the swan couple we saw at the other side.
One of the swan pair came hurrying towards us. We waited if the other one would join her mate. She preferred not to do that. And the male, disappointed swam back from where he had come.
When we walked away suddenly the two came flying over the water.
So we bought bread for ourselves and some for the ducks and the swan pair.
The swans ate out of my hand, but I thought it wise to stand behind a rather high hill of snow.

My haiku:

Eagerly they eat
The cold has affected them
Badly longing for spring

And the proverb by Tagore:

Pleasure is frail like a dewdrop; while it laughs, it dries.
