Two hours at Heathrow Airport .....

...... in Terminal One!

I don't normally take "people" shots (are these called 'candids'??) but the plane I was meeting was delayed and I had a couple of hours sitting in T1 at Heathrow ..... for those who don't know ....

London Heathrow Airport is a major international airport serving London, England. Located in the London Borough of Hillingdon, in West London, Heathrow is the busiest airport in the UK and the third busiest airport in the world (as of 2012) in terms of total passenger traffic, handling more international passengers than any other airport around the globe.

It is also the busiest airport in the EU by passenger traffic and the third busiest in Europe given the number of traffic movements, with a figure surpassed only by Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Frankfurt Airport.

Heathrow is London's main airport and together with Gatwick, Southend, Stansted, Luton and London City, London has the busiest city airport system in the world by passenger traffic (with 133,666,888 passengers travelling through the six airports) and second only to New York City in terms of traffic movements.

I took my camera in the hopes of an exciting blip on the way (or the way back) so thought I would try something a little different whilst drinking my hot chocolate (pictured above in an 'arty' way - lol) - here you have my efforts. (oh, and the green suitcase man is blurred because he was running - running really fast - the whole family (5 of them) shot through, all with their green suitcases - would have loved to get the lot but they were definitely in a hurry - hope they got their plane!!).

Have to say it felt a little strange pointing my camera at people and I was just waiting for someone to complain or for one of the staff to come up and tell me to stop .......

Bobbin' Robin was thrilled to hop onto the spotlight page and thanks you all with a loud tweet and chirrup!!!
