Ahhh.........calm!

Started with the years first frost - not nice!

A busy day - aren't they all?

The highlight - or maybe the lowlight?? - was when a new alarm sounded at the start of the last period of the day. A kind of a loud whooping sound that we assumed to be a 'test' for our new lockdown procedure. Except the alarm didn't stop...........for 20 minutes!! We managed to determine that it was an electrical error rather than a practice drill but not before we'd had to contain about a hundred students in the gym with the alarm whooping away in our ears for the duration! Aaarrrrggghhhh!!!!

Had a staff meeting after school then headed off to find some peace and calm, which I did here at Rough Island. (How inapropriately named!)

Very cold again tonight so more frost tomorrow I guess. The plus is that we do get beautiful blue sky, sunny days - though the weather man is suggesting we're going to rained on by the afternoon tomorrow :(
