A Scots Pine - the sole survivor of one of the heaviest storms in decades.

Good news is that spring has obviously arrived. Bad news is that I had a free day. That's certainly not bad news per se, but this time it meant that I had to drive home to work in the woods - pretty much all day long.

I just was able to get a quick blip of a scots pine, that stands rather forlorn in a huge clearing, which was caused by a massive storm in 1990. In the foreground you see the young trees getting up again. However, the place still looks quite desolate.

In other news, the drawing of the Champions League semi-finals was today. Bayern Munich was drawn to play against FC Barcelona - probably the toughest possible opponent of the remaining teams.
