Wound up in Wexford

Full moon

A good day - exercise in the morning, then some fluting with a friend in the afternoon.  Lovely weather.  Really felt like spring.  I got washing dry on the rotary dryer.

Our windows are filthy, having been liberally coated in Saharan sand - and it's only about a week since the window cleaner was here!  There's also a liberal coating of sand on our patio table.  We need to spend some time washing the ceramic pots that we want to take to Ireland, so we will probably get the hose out in the next day or two.

The afternoon of fluting duets was great, but sad, as this might be the last opportunity for duets with L.  Our mutual teacher had recommended a book of duets by Richard Rodney Bennett, and we enjoyed working our way through this - hard enough to be challenging, but easy enough to make a decent fist at sight reading them, and after a few runs through, make them sound quite reasonable.  We'll make a date for a couple of weeks, but we're still on tenterhooks here.

Then in the evening, W made us a vegetarian Irish stew, to celebrate St Patrick's day.  It was very tasty.
