Wound up in Wexford

Washing pots

We spent an hour or so this afternoon in the rather hot polytunnel, washing pots.  This is a five stage affair.

1.  First brush out as much of the loose soil as possible
2.  Rinse in water to get as much of the remaining soil off
3.  Wash with some soapy water to get them as clean as possible
4.  Rinse
5.  Leave to drain

We have a limited amount of drainage space - and a limited amount of tolerance, so we can't do too many at once - which is just as well, my hands are not "soft as my face" - but then, I wasn't using Fairy liquid.

We also moved to the patio an old Belfast sink that we have for the last 8 years been intending to coat in Tufa.  It has been sitting down our back passage and was filthy - so we cleaned it with the hose and now it's awaiting transport.  Maybe we might get it sorted this summer in Ireland as we are unlikely to have much in the way of veggies to tend to - we're going to be too late to plant most - so we might not have too much to do in the garden this year.

But we are making slow but steady progress towards deciding what stuff to take, what to leave, what to throw out as it's are broken.  There'll be another good selection to put out by the gate - probably next weekend.  And we have more stuff for the "small electricals" skip at the tip.

But still no movement regarding exchange/completion, and now it's the weekend.
