Wound up in Wexford

Brandon House

Today we ventured over the toll bridge to Waterford.  First stop was Harvey Norman for fitted sheets for our fancy electric adjustable beds.  Then we ventured into Home Store + More, where we found many of the things we wanted.  We had also discovered that The Range have a store in Waterford, so we drove round there and found some of the other bits we needed.

All in all, a satisfactory, though rather expensive, shopping trip.

We then came back to New Ross.  By this time we were hungry, so when we saw the signs for Brandon House Hotel, we decided to see what they had to offer.  We'd failed to think through the fact that it was Saturday, and a Bank Holiday weekend - we were lucky to get a table.  The food was rather nice.  They were showing the Ireland/England rugby match, so it was quite noisy but fun!  Photo taken as we emerged - great light over the hotel, and with the added bonus of the rainbow that I hadn't seen till I looked at the photos on the tablet.

Then a bit of essential food shopping.  We haven't yet found a greengrocer with a good range of fruit and veg.  Today we called at a Farm Shop - but whilst they are great for basic local veggies, they didn’t have the range we want.  We ended up back in Lidl, where we got the fruit and veg we wanted, but with a significant amount of plastic wrapping.
