Schnell, schneller, am schnellsten

Fast, faster, fastest - well, actually it isn't the fastest.

Busy day today. In the office from eight until around two o'clock, followed by a quick stop at the university library, to be concluded by some more work at home in the forest until sunset. But actually a day like that is not too bad I must say - at least it was very diversified.

So pictured is the souther corner of the Garching Research Center (a part of Munich's two major universities). The blue building to the right is TUM's Department of Mathematics and Informatics. The two slender buildings in the center and to the left are part of the Leibniz-Rechenzentrum LRZ (Leibniz Supercomputing Center). The cubical building on the very left side in the background is the facility's actual supercomputer SuperMUC - the second fastest in Europe and sixth fastest in the world. So nobody can tell me anymore that computers are getting smaller...

By the way, I love modern architecture. Metal, concrete, glass - love it!
