Oh, Brother

The much requested ancient typewriter arrived today and was pressed in to use immediately - much more fun than those expensive iphones, ipads and kindles we have been buying apparently.

I backed out of the room muttering about fax machines and Betamax making a comeback next.

The demand for a record player has also been constant ever since the kids saw my old vinyl collection (just can't sell all those Smiths 12 inch singles) and when I took them into Avalanche a few weeks ago Eve saw a box of 45's and shouted excitedly "Look, miniatures".

Where will it all end? Back where we started at this rate.

In other news, there was lots of writing and deciphering followed by research on how to get from Edinburgh to Malmo to London, which is taking some planning and a visit to the dentist and topped off with an evening at Ruby's school to meet the teachers and hear about the plans for the upcoming trip to Amsterdam (Highlight is day three which sees Anne Frank, a concentration camp, The Hard Rock Cafe and ten pin bowling colliding together). The kids were all warned to behave better than Justin Bieber when they visit Anne Frank's house.
