Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Leaving the blue sky behind

On the way home from spring break week with the grandchildren (and children and wives too) on the island. Good weather predicted for the Gulf Islands but we are headed south - here partway between the ferry and the Canadian border --we had our windshield wipers on in less than 1 minute after this shot and much of the way back to Seattle. We had the boys in our car, who did take a nap, but we dropped Oskar at home screaming because he has already lost the ring he had just bought on the ferry.

And now we need QUIET! We are a whole family of introverts - Son #1 who was there the last 4 days with us and the 4 grandkids was covering his ears at dinner last night when the kids were competing for attention. They wanted to go around the table with everyone answering questions like "what was your scariest moment ever?" or "what was the thing that most made you laugh til you cried?" He also read Susan Cain's book "Quiet: the Power of Introverts in a world that Can't Stop Talking" and altho much of it pertains to working in the business world, I'm sure he, as well as H and I are looking forward to some quiet. (H and I have a better chance of it happening tonight!)

I'm happy that they all had a great time of course and we will do it again!! :-)
