Silent sentinel

What a wonderful, warm and sunny day. At last I got back to the lakes!
I haven't been for ages - despite it only being a ten minute cycle away.

This goose stayed on his own private islet for ages. I took some pictures when I started my walk around the lakes and he was still there an hour later. It was a toss up between him or a glorious patch of cowslips at the lakeside. I've never seen so many cowslips growing together before.

Thanks to everyone for their good wishes on my 300th. It ended up being almost my highest rated blip ever :) Sorry for lack of blipping and commenting - just too much to do. Hope to comment later tonight.
