Fine day. Lazy start with no cycling. Just dumped the car at the train station so that I could head to the pub after work. But first there were amiable cyclists to be met for breakfast chat before toddling down the sunny streets to get to work. Work itself was fine. Not as fine as the bit where the server crashed (again) leaving a little interlude in which little houses could be guiltlessly drawn.

The little houses are for illustration homework and one of Astrid's perpetual challenges is to get me away from iPads and Illustrator and make me actually draw the pictures. I know she's (mainly) right - that there's something personal and individual lost in the conversion of sketches to vectors. The interesting rough edges are smoothed away. So, the houses are all being drawn. There's a town to do. But they will get scanned and coloured in Illustrator.

And then an evening in the Hanging Bat with the boss, who's no longer boss. He's sailing and playing the guitar and generally being retired. The git. But great to catch up.
