Y for Young

I found this poor young soul on our back yard tonight. I have no idea what species it is, but I do know it has been there for less than an hour prior to taking the photo.
My son P & his friend P both asked if it had a chance to live again, which I thought was rather touching. And were both very tempted to touch it too, like most curious kids do.

I will try a more cheerful blip tomorrow, especially as it will end my alphabet series................
