River Brathay
We met up with friends, Deb and John for a walk from Elterwater to Skelwith Bridge today. The conditions could best be described as subtle, but it was still lovely to catch up, including a stopover at the local cafe and drink in the Britannia Inn.
This is the river Brathay, just below Elterwater. The persistent drizzle, gave rise to this softened scene. The views were limited and the Langdales were lost in the mist to the west. Certainly, as we drove back over Red Bank to Grasmere, we were enveloped by cloud.
