Where's Greenock ?

Monday 13th

When I looked out the window this morning the sun was shining unfortunately this didn't last long. Heavy showers of rain and occasional showers of sleet were the order of the day.
We decided to head towards Kilmun and Blairmore for a change of scenery.
As we headed towards Kilmun we encountered several more sleety showers but the scenery was lovely. Loch Striven was looking beautiful despite the threatening skies.
We had hoped the little gallery and tea shop at Blairmore would be open but sadly it was closed. When we were last at Blairmore we were lucky enough to see the puffer Vic 32 steam past the little pier but no Vic 32 today.
The shot is of an approaching shower which has totally obscured Greenock.
We turned and headed back towards Kilmun but again the little coffee shop near the pier was also closed. Nothing else for it we decided to head for Dunoon to do some grocery shopping and to buy some sandwiches and head back to Kirn to eat our sandwiches looking out over the Holy Loch and down Loch Long.
Further showers of sleet were encountered on our way back to Ardlamont. We did however make a small detour down to Colintraive where we saw the Loch Dunvegan which operates on the short ferry trip, less than 5 minutes , across to the Isle of Bute.
This evening the weather has improved and we've got our lovely views of Arran back.
