Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

The goldfinch have found us ...

.... though this great tit looks quite angry about it.  And well he might - the level in the seed feeder has dropped quite markedly since we spotted the first arrivals this morning.  He doesn't need to worry, we'll keep the feeder topped up!

There were moments this morning when there were three or four goldfinch on the feeder, but it's turned quite blustery, so the most I spotted this evening was two - see extra.  They're messy eaters, but the chaffinches, robins and dunnock were cleaning up underneath them.

Sean "geothermal " arrived about 2.30, and is still (6.pm) pottering around trying to make sense of our heating system and the controls - even when everything was supposedly switched off in the house, the pump on the geothermal circulation was kicking in.  Hopefully he's sussed it out.  He's also looking at the small solar hot water heating system, as this has been squealing loudly on the rare occasion there's been any sun - probably needs refilling with fluid.

We got the bedroom curtains hung this morning, but no other unpacking.
