Afternoon at the Sage

It was another cold and cloudy morning so we were happy to go to the Sage for the RNS with Hyeyoon Park, Benjamin Grosvenor and Sheku Kanneh-Mason as soloists for the Beethoven. We’d got tickets because Nicola Bernadette was billed as the violin soloist but we got a message earlier in the week saying she was indisposed. It was such a treat and the audience most appreciative.

We came out at 5pm into brilliant sunshine. Maybe spring is finally on its way? Last year I posted a collage of all the flowers out in the garden. This year I couldn’t do that. And the rabbits have eaten the strawberry plants.

I’m not happy with the Sage’s cloakroom facilities.now. They have introduced “gender neutral “ loos in what used to be female only ones but the male only ones still exist further along. So there’s even longer queues now with the lazy men not walking a bit further to a male one. So lazy they leave the seat up and piss on the floor.

I’m writing this on our way home. Boo- the clouds are coming down the valley. So my hopes for spring are dashed.
