DROPS AGAIN BECAUSE OF ALL THE RAIN

but late in the afternoon seeing a bit of blue in the sky, Piet Hein and I walked towards the river. The path on the shore was already floaded, we stood there for a while and returned home.
Yesterday evening a big oak was uprooted and had fallen over a road nearby.
No casualties happily enough or other damage. A frightening sight it was when I passed there looking for raindrops hanging of the leaves or flowers. For a picture!

My haiku:

The giant oak fell
The playground of the squirrel
She will search for it

And the proverb:

De aarde is een mierennest: Veel gekrioel en weinig mest.

Translation:

The earth is an anthill: much swarm and little dung.
