Drakensbergs

Day 20, After a huge detour and an unplanned overnight camp back down at the coast we finally arrived at Injisuthi, we had a very eventful drive through some huge Hail storms with very dramatic thunder and lightning as we were passing through the main "Battlefield" area, it would have been nice to stop and visit some as we passed signs with Ladysmith, Spionkop and other familiar names from history. After reaching Estcourt we left the main road for a 60 Km drive on at first very pot holed minor roads then the last 30 km was on very rough dirt track. the wee hired Nissan Micra was now after nearly 4000 kilometres was starting to protest with odd squeaks from its undercarriage.
This was the view that greeted us at the road end, I think this is Monks Cowl in the centre. Accommodation was a fully equiped chalet with a wood burning stove... the 1st time we had/needed heating the whole trip
