Tiny Tuesday

Married to an engineer you might expect me to blip something more unusual for today's theme of 'mechanical' but this is what immediately sprang to mind. It's a vintage Swiss watch, 9ct case with serial number 20473,  the letters AL and foreign marks equivalent to hallmarks. I am currently monitoring it for accuracy - if wound two or three times a day it only loses a few minutes.  While open for the photo I breathed on nudged with a goat-hair brush the regulator so will see if that helps. A clean might help, too.

It has a plain but comely face and I would wear it but for the strap, which is falling apart, and preferably a longer one.
